Challenge
Google needed to unveil an unreleased product portfolio to a highly discerning Ads and Sales client audience — without a conventional demo experience. The risk was real: a product-led walkthrough would feel transactional, forgettable, and flat.
The creative challenge was to build a single, cohesive concept that could house multiple cutting-edge technologies under one compelling narrative — making the unfamiliar feel exciting, intuitive, and unmistakably Google.
Strategy
The insight was simple but powerful: everyone understands the magic of movies. By framing the attendee journey as the making of a blockbuster film, the team transformed a product showcase into a living, breathing Film Festival — with every guest cast as the director of their own story.
Presenting, GML Studios: Lights, Camera, ROI. This unique thematic concept gave each Google product a natural, intuitive role within a filmmaking narrative. Gemini Live became the scriptwriter's room. Virtual Try-On stepped into the costume department. Flow and Veo 3 powered the editing suite.
The experience was deliberately personalised: every attendee's unique persona shaped their journey, making each interaction feel bespoke, not broadcast.
Execution
The concept was realised across four immersive, purpose-built zones — each a fully dressed film production set. Technology was never demoed in isolation; it was experienced as part of a narrative the attendee had authored themselves.
Every design choice — from the clapperboard signage to the red-carpet reveal — reinforced the creative world. The result was a seamless fusion of physical storytelling and AI-powered personalisation that felt unlike anything the format had seen before.
Results
Attendees didn't just observe Google's AI capabilities — they co-created with them, leaving with a personal artefact and a lived understanding of the products.
The activation recorded the highest CSAT score ever achieved by the division across any marketing event — concrete, historic evidence that a bold creative concept, executed with integrity, transforms audience experience.
Real-time conversational storytelling guided guests through building their film narrative live with AI.
Attendees styled their protagonist using tactile Virtual Try-On — making AI fashion feel physical.
