Challenge
Reimagine SHRM's flagship HR conference into an immersive, future-forward platform — one that humanises tech while staying rooted in people-first values. The challenge was transforming a legacy conference format into a living ecosystem where tech meets humanity, and ideas grew like life inside a terrarium.
The audience — CXOs, HR leaders, global speakers, partners and exhibitors — expected both intellectual rigour and experiential inspiration. A standard conference format would not move them.
Approach
Inspired by a terrarium, we designed a living ecosystem — brought to life through AI-sculpted human forms, wavelength-inspired geometry, and tech-textured gradients. Every visual element echoed evolution, potential, and seamless human-tech symbiosis.
The design philosophy positioned technology not as an imposing force, but as a natural extension of human potential — growing organically within a space that felt alive, warm, and forward-looking simultaneously.
Execution
An immersive stage, AI-driven zones, gamified pods, interactive booths, and a media lounge — all wired for discovery and engagement. The multi-screen stage format with flanking LED walls created a cinema-scale keynote environment for sessions on AI & Leadership 2.0 and the Future of Work.
The expo floor housed partner and exhibitor activations alongside gamified discovery pods and hands-on AI zones, creating a continuous flow between inspiration and application throughout the full-day programme.
Results
SHRM Tech 2.0 evolved from an expo to a sentient space. It amplified SHRM's position as a torchbearer of HR innovation, and generated record social engagement onsite — with CXOs, HR leaders, global speakers, partners and exhibitors all contributing to the highest-energy SHRM India event in recent memory.
